India and women health: current perspective

Abstract

Development is indicator of splendid change. Today India has become sixth economic giant in the world. Although GDP of our country is increasing by adapting globalization patterns, still at 131 place with the result public in general is devoid of benefits of economic reforms. Owing to gender inequality in a male dominated mindset of Indian society our country is at 125 place eliciting direct effects on social, health and education status of female population.
