Monkeypox: A new challenge to world public health

Abstract

Monkeypox is a zoonotic disease caused by virus, in which body shows symptoms like smallpox. After the Corona pandemic the threat of this disease is currently looming over the world. In this article a brief review has been given about the history of monkeypox disease, causes, symptoms, transmission of the disease, treatment, ways of prevention and status of monkeypox disease in India and world.
