Abstract
- Indian women became part of the scientific community in the early decades of the 19th century. Involved in diverse fields of science ranging from medicine to technology, he has made significant contributions to technological progress and innovations. There are and are many women scientists who have made immense contributions to science and society, Kamala Sohoni is one of the most famous Indian scientists of the last century. He has made significant contributions to biochemistry, his research has greatly contributed to nutrition and dietetics. He stepped beyond the boundaries of academics and worked to improve the quality of life in his country, fulfilling his duty towards society as a scientist
