Ultrasonic attenuation in dielectric material

Abstract

In the present paper, an attempt has been made to explain ultrasonic attenuation due to phonon-phonon interaction in AgBr as a function of temperature along 10 direction from 1000-450k for the characterization of material. For this evaluation, the temperature dependence of second and third order elastic constants starting with two basic parameters has been computed, Impor-tant characteristic features well connected to the acoustical parameters are discussed.
